The water level drops after each backwash or through evaporation. You will need to refill the pool with the water hose or install an automatic water leveller.
Prevent damage
With an automatic water leveller you wont have to worry about your pump suddenly running without water and burn. Or that your cover will be damaged. When the water level is too low, the water pipes start working. When the water is at the right level again, the water pipes automatically stop.
